Steve Ratuva

Steve Ratuva is Professor/Director of Macmillan Brown Centre for Pacific Studies. In 2020, he won the Royal Society Te Apārangi Metge medal for excellence, New Zealand’s highest social science research award. He has published widely on Pacific societies and culture, indigenous knowledge, and innovative future research methods for climate security. He leads the new Protecting our Pacific in a Climate Emergency Programme with University of South Pacific and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Trade.
