If the climate is changing, will land use need to change?

Will we be able to farm the same thing tomorrow as today? How will our farming practices need to change to respond to climate change?

Researchers modelled farm systems from the Hawke’s Bay, Waikato and Southland areas to understand the influence of climate on productive potential and environmental impacts across three different land use sectors – sheep and beef pasture, maize and wheat rotation, and wine grapes. They found some changes in processes would be needed.
